Mt. San Antonio College will be offering free financial aid assistance during its annual Cash for College fair on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. But this year, with the pandemic ongoing, it will look different as it moves to an entirely online event in a zoom webinar.

Students should register for this webinar at http://www.mtsac.edu/financialaid/cashfair.html .

The fair is open to prospective students and their parents, as well as current Mt. SAC students in need of completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms for the 2019-2020 academic year. Assistance with the California Dream Act Application will also be available.

Rosario EsparzaSince it is virtual event, "Students will be provided with screenshots of the application questions and important documents that they may need to reference,  said Rosario Esparza, Manager of Financial Aid and Special Programs. We will also have two Question and Answer segments where students can get their financial aid question(s) answered by our expert staff.

"The Cash for College Planning Committee and expert staff have put together a comprehensive event program that will help make the financial aid application process clear and easy to understand and follow. We will have a FAFSA and a CA Dream Act presentation that will take students through the entire application process from start to finish,"explained Esparza.

Attendees can select from two sessions. The first session at 9 a.m. is designed for students interested in attending Mt. SAC.

Esparza indicated that the entire event is open to all students (new and continuing).

"We will provide two separate workshops at 9:30 a.m., one for FAFSA and one for CA Dream Act. The 9 a.m. welcome is for everyone, as is the 11 a.m. Q&A segment," she said.
