Cash for College Saturday Helps with Financial Aid

Mt. SAC will hold Cash for College, its financial aid and scholarship fair, on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019. Registration is available for two sessions, one at 9 a.m. and the second at 11 a.m.

Cash for College provides hands-on assistance to college-bound students and their parents in completing and filingFinacial Aid expoerts help students the FAFSA application (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2020-2021 academic year.

“Students do not want to miss out on any money they are entitled to,” said Chau Dao, Director of Financial Aid. “Our staff are experts at filling out the application. We can provide them with clarity so that their answers will be more accurate and they will get a better determination of their eligibility.”  

The event also helps students maximize their financial aid prospects by meeting the priority financial aid filing deadline. Assistance with the California Dream Act application will also be available.

The Financial Aid Office at Mt. SAC will hold various financial aid help pop-ups at locations across campus through December. Students can get answers about FAFSA and DREAM Act applications, completing requirements and other aid questions.

The Financial Aid & Scholarship Office is located on the 2nd floor of Building 9B. It is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed on Fridays during summer intersession).
