Cash for College Saturday Helps with Financial Aid
October 08, 2019 - 10:48 AM
Mt. SAC will hold Cash for College, its financial aid and scholarship fair, on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019. Registration is available for two sessions, one at 9 a.m. and the second at 11 a.m.
Cash for College provides hands-on assistance to college-bound students and their parents in completing and filing the FAFSA application (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2020-2021 academic year.
“Students do not want to miss out on any money they are entitled to,” said Chau Dao, Director of Financial Aid. “Our staff are experts at filling out the application. We can provide them with clarity so that their answers will be more accurate and they will get a better determination of their eligibility.”
The event also helps students maximize their financial aid prospects by meeting the priority financial aid filing deadline. Assistance with the California Dream Act application will also be available.
To register for Cash for College visit the Financial Aid Website.
The Financial Aid Office at Mt. SAC will hold various financial aid help pop-ups at locations across campus through December. Students can get answers about FAFSA and DREAM Act applications, completing requirements and other aid questions.October 10/9: Bridge office (Building 9E, Room 2080) 4pm—6pm 10/15: ASAC office (Building 6) 12pm—2pm 10/22: Completion Center (Building 9G) 11am—1pm 10/30: DHH office (Building 9D) 3:30pm—5:30pm November 11/5: EOPS/CalWORKs office (Building 9B, First Floor) 9am—11am 11/13: Writing Center (Building 26B, First Floor) 12pm—2pm 11/19: Language Lab(Building 77) 12pm—2pm 11/27: ASAC office (Building 6) 12pm—2pm December 12/2: Bridge office (Building 9E, Room 2080) 4pm—6pm
