April 01, 2025 - 04:51 PM
The Mt. San Antonio College Business Management Department, Cal Poly Pomona Technology Operations Management, and Regional Chamber of Commerce of San Gabriel Valley are co-hosting the Third Annual Supply Chain Summit 2025 on April 24.
This year’s summit will take place on the Mt. San Antonio College campus, starting at 3 p.m. with a tradeshow, followed by speakers and dinner at 5 p.m. This event serves as a unique platform for students, educators, and industry leaders to connect, while exploring the opportunities for advancements in supply chain.
Derek Dokter, a Business Management Professor at Mt. San Antonio College, emphasized the importance of this event in changing perceptions surrounding supply chain careers. He said, “This is an opportunity to showcase that supply chain jobs go beyond traditional roles. You can start at the entry level and advance to top positions, offering a more rewarding experience than many may realize.”
Additionally, the summit will provide valuable insights for current professionals looking to upskill in light of evolving trends in the industry, including robotics and artificial intelligence. “The future of the supply chain industry looks bright with plenty of growth opportunities,” Dokter said.
The event will feature partner booths, swag, raffles, and a question-and-answer panel discussion with experts from both prestigious companies within the industry and prominent higher educational institutions. Attendees will also engage in conversations with students and community partners in supply chain.
Dave Porter will serve as the event’s keynote speaker. As the founder of Orion Solutions Group, a prominent executive placement and consulting firm, he leads the logistics practice and brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. His recent role as CEO at Rail Delivery Services, a highly regarded drayage and trucking firm in Fontana, further underscores his expertise.
