A man was found in the women’s bathroom in Building 19 on Monday, Oct. 8, at about 6 p.m. Mt. SAC Police and Campus Safety officials immediately responded to reports and were able to detain him. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department then investigated for possible criminal invasion of privacy. Sheriff’s investigators determined the suspect, 38-year-old Marcos Hernandez, is currently on parole and is a registered sex offender. He was served with a no trespass notice and escorted off campus. His parole officer was also notified.

There was a similar incident on Oct. 1, where a suspect followed a student into a restroom shortly after 8 p.m. in Building 17. In that case, the student noticed the suspect was attempting to photograph or videotape the student as she was using the restroom.
