Lewd Behavior Arrest

May 09, 2017 - 12:08 AM

On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at about 9 a.m, Public Safety officers detained a man in parking Lot F for suspicion of lewd behavior. Two students walking to class, and an employee walking to work, saw the suspect behaving suspiciously inside his car and immediately reported it to Public Safety.

The suspect, who is listed on the Megan's Law website, was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for possession of narcotics and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.

The suspect, Jason Ellis (42), is not a current student, but had taken classes at Mt. SAC in 2009.

It is not immediately clear if he is the same suspect from indecent exposure incidents on May 4, 2017 and April 12, 2017.

While a suspect has been arrested, Public Safety urges the campus community to remain alert and aware of your surroundings. In addition, report suspicious activity immediately.
