After 18 months of having to deal with the challenges of the pandemic, students have some good news heading their way: The college is forgiving outstanding fee balances to the tune of $3.3 million.

About 4,200 students, who attended from Fall 2014 to Spring 2021, will have their balances wiped out thanks to the use of federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds and other district funds.

Dr. Bill Scroggins“Many of our students have had significant challenges caused by the pandemic, including losing their jobs or living with family members who have faced COVID-related health issues,” said President Bill Scroggins. “We hope doing this will help ease some of the burden. Supporting our students is a top priority.”
