Mt. SAC, the Students of Distinction Committee, and the Educators of Distinction Committee have announced the 2026 Students and Educators of Distinction recipients.

The Students of Distinction in the Academic Achievement Category are:

  • Zhilin Chen

The Students of Distinction in the Service Achievement Category are:

  • Xenia Chen

The Students of Distinction in the Competitive Achievement Category are:

  • Amanda Porterfield
  • Jonathan Rollheiser
  • Kasandra Claire Uy
  • Mayah Tiscareno
  • Spencer Damaske

The Students of Distinction in the Personal Achievement Category are:

The Educators of Distinction are:

  • Gabriel Gardner, Professor, Physics, Engineering

  • Perla Partida, Transfer Specialist
  • Yashar Rahbar, Professor, Psychology

A ceremony and luncheon will be on May 9 at 11:30 a.m. to honor those awarded. Tickets can be purchased for $20 (cash only) from April 24-May 1 at the Student Life Office. Space is limited.
