Free and Anonymous HIV Testing Available

Mounties can receive free and confidential HIV testing and results in just minutes three times this Fall on campus.

A mobile unit will be on campus to administer the tests at the bldg. 9C East Lawn from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on:
Wed. Oct 9.
Tues. Oct 15.
Wed. Dec 4.
 

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Division of HIV and STD Programs (DHSP http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/dhsp/) there are an estimated 8,654 people in the county unaware of having an HIV infection. in 2016, there were 60,946 persons estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS. Despite many advances in HIV prevention and treatment strategies, 1,750 to 2,000 new infections occur annually. The only way to know whether you have HIV is to get tested.

If you have HIV, talk to a healthcare provider. There is no cure for HIV, but starting and sticking to treatment can help stop the virus in your body. To learn more visit HIV.gov
