Staff Named to Board of Governors

Mt. SAC computer facilities coordinator Bill Rawlings was recently appointed to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors by Gov. Jerry Brown.

“Classified staff play a critical role in the success of our 2.1 million students, and board member Rawlings will contribute that perspective as we shape and implement policies that will lead to better education and career outcomes for students,” said Community College Chancellor Eloy Ortiz Oakley of Rawlings’ appointment to the board.

Rawlings, who has been at Mt. SAC since 1999, has also served as president for the college’s CSEA chapter.
