Mt. SAC’s Multicultural Center presents Seeds of Change: Lessons from Farmworker Communities on Labor, Justice, and Solidarity, a special event for National Farmworker Awareness Week on March 26 from 3-5 p.m. in Building 410-2030.

Unearth stories of shared resistance and hope within farmworker communities, drawing from history of civil rights activism in California, and learn about the enduring protections and better working conditions for farmworkers that were established by the United Farm Workers.

Ethnic Studies professors April Tellez, Prahas Rudraraju, and Michael Angel Vazquez will lead a panel discussion on labor, justice, and solidarity to inspire unity across movements for collective liberation in communities today.
