All-Gender Restrooms

AB 1732 went into effect on March 1, 2017.  This law requires that existing single-user toilet facilities be identified as all-gender.  In light of Mt. SAC’s Core Value of Equity and Diversity, Facilities Planning and Management has been working with the entire campus to achieve consensus on which single-user restrooms could be re-designated as public all-gender restrooms.  In typical Mt. SAC fashion, faculty and staff identified 28 primarily staff-only restrooms that could be converted for all-gender public use—this means that everyone will now have access. 

All-Gender restrooms are designated with the all-gender symbol, as well as door hardware changes.
