Adam Hoffmann – 2014 Kepler

After winning the scholarship, I transferred to Northern Arizona University (NAU) where I am a Geology major. I won several awards for outstanding geology student in 2016 and 2017. The faculty also nominated me for outstanding senior in the College of Earth Science and Environmental Sustainability. After graduating from NAU, I was accepted to the University of California, Riverside for a PhD opportunity where I am currently studying organic and isotope geochemistry at the time of the earliest rise of animals. In my opinion, winning the Kepler Scholarship was a starting point of what I hope will be a long career in the natural sciences.
