Sarina Wang – 2015 Kepler

After winning the Kepler scholarship, I continued with my academic work at Mt. San Antonio College. Concurrently, I competed with the Forensics team, winning Gold in Informative at Nationals and Gold in Impromptu in California. I was also recognized with the Mt. SAC Student of Distinction Award for competitive achievement. Thereafter, I transferred to UCLA as a Communication Studies Major, having earned an alumni scholarship. At UCLA, I am currently working as a student coordinator and member of the academic enrichment committee for the alumni scholars club. Additionally, I intern part-time with various journalism outlets. Many of my articles have been published in outlets like The Tab, Resonate, and The Huffington Post. After graduating from UCLA, I hope to pursue a career in education and possibly teach in a public high school.
