Josh Serrano – 2016 Kepler
During April, 2016, when being awarded a Kepler Scholarship, I was finishing up an internship with the Planetary Atmospheres group at the NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Since then, I have moved on to work on other projects at JPL, including that of a proposed space telescope called SPHEREx, led by Caltech professor Jamie Bock. Recently, I was hired as a software engineer to work on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter mission and in the process, thus moving from intern to JPL employee. I am currently finishing my few remaining requirements and will earn my college degree in 2018.
