Mt. San Antonio College is proud to be recognized as an NKBA Founding School, a distinction that reflects our long-standing commitment to excellence in kitchen and bath design education.
From 1992 until the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) retired its formal accreditation program, our Interior Design program met and maintained the rigorous educational standards established by the NKBA. These standards were designed to ensure students received comprehensive, industry-relevant training aligned with professional expectations in the areas of:
- Planning and Design
- Construction Systems
- Business and Project Management
- Products and Materials
Our faculty and curriculum underwent thorough review processes, including self-study reports, competency analyses, and annual student work submissions evaluated by industry professionals. These assessments ensured students achieved competencies valued by employers in the kitchen and bath industry.
While NKBA no longer offers a formal accreditation program, our designation as an NKBA Founding School reflects our continued alignment with the high standards set by the organization. We remain committed to delivering a curriculum that supports student success in kitchen and bath design careers, integrating both academic excellence and practical experience through internships and industry engagement.
