President's Advisory Council

 

Purpose

To ensure the long-term stability and success of the institution, the President’s Advisory Council is the primary planning body for the College and provides a forum to review and recommend the direction and focus for the College consistent with the College’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values directly advising the College President on policy and governance.

Function

  1. Periodically review and revise the College’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values
  2. Revise and recommend goals for the College.
  3. Ensure that the various planning processes are coordinated and consistent with the established direction and focus of the College.
  4. Periodically evaluate the College governance procedure and structure.
  5. Participate in the development of recommended College priorities.
  6. Evaluate the work of the governance committees and the College using an ongoing and systematic cycle of evaluation, integrated planning, resource allocation, and implementation (ACCJC Standard I.B.3) including the ongoing evaluation of process for planning, budgeting, and accreditation.
  7. Consistently revise APs and BPs in alignment with the review cycle and legislative changes.
