Steve Gerbson
Steve Gerbson has been a producer and director in the entertainment industry and a member of the Directors Guild of America for the past twenty-five years and is the President of Steve Gerbson Productions.
During his long and distinguished career, he has produced and directed shows for every major network, including The Creative Art Emmy Awards, and The Aspen Comedy Festival, which he created, and the situation comedy, Hearts Afire.
Many of Mr. Gerbson shows have received the highest industry honors; including the Emmy® nominated Magic Garden Christmas, the ACE nominated shows Broadway Baby and Comedy From Here, and the Academy Award® Winning documentary Close Harmony.
Prior to his work in the entertainment industry Mr. Gerbson worked actively in commercial and corporate video production for such clients as General Electric, Coca Cola, American Express, Pfizer and Ford Motor Company.
Mr. Gerbson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications at New York Institute of Technology and has been honored in the “Who’s Who of College Graduates.” He received a Master of Arts degree in Critical Studies of Broadcasting from California State University Los Angeles.
In addition to his ongoing work in the entertainment industry, Mr. Gerbson fulfilled a lifelong ambition and began teaching film and television production at a number of colleges in both Los Angeles and Santa Fe, NM, allowing him to share his knowledge and experience with a new generation of filmmakers.
