Special Admit Program
Now Accepting Winter 2026 & Spring 2026 Applications
K-12 CA students can get a head start on college by participating in Mt. San Antonio
College's Special Admit Program. The program allows students to take advanced college-level
courses tuition free during Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters.
To join, simply follow the steps below.

Steps to Apply to Program
New and Returning Students
Complete and submit a Mt. SAC Admission Application.
- New and Returning students will need to complete a new application for every term.

Once you complete the application, take note of your confirmation page and number. If you do not receive an admissions letter from Mt. SAC within one week, please check your spam or junk email folder. If it is still not there, please contact our office for assistance.
Look up the classes you'd like to take. Make sure these courses are prepared to be included in your special admit packet.

High School Students
Please visit your student portal to complete the AQ (Assessment Questionnaire). You will need to have your high school transcript readily available during the Assessment Questionnaire. This will only need to be completed one time, not for every term interested.
If you believe you were not cleared for the course you intend to enroll in, or you feel you were assessed incorrectly, please email your transcripts to specialadmit@mtsac.edu so we can verify prerequisite completion.
In order to participate in the program, students must complete the Special Admit Packet with their parent/guardian and high school administrator/counselor. Students must have all fields completed and have three signatures in total in order for the packet to be accepted.
New and Returning Students
- A Special Admit Packet is required for every term. Be sure to list all the courses you would like to enroll in. Our office can only clear you for the courses that are included on your packet and approved by your high school.
- Packets are reviewed and approved manually. Please allow 2–3 business days for our office to complete the initial review. Your high school counselor/administrator will then receive the packet by email to request their approval.
- Once your counselor/administrator approves and submits the packet, our office will manually clear you to register for the approved courses.

Register for classes!
You can find your registration date in your Mt. SAC student portal.
If you have submitted all required documents and have been cleared to register, you will be able to register on your assigned registration date.
Please note: Registration is not guaranteed. Some classes may fill quickly, or you may not meet the minimum prerequisites for a course.
