Classified Senate in conjuction with the Board of Trustees is looking for a classified employee to recognize for their committment to professionalism and the college community they serve.

The Chancellor’s Office, Board of Governors and the Foundation for California Community Colleges honor up to six classified employees each year, who were nominated by their colleagues and endorsed by their local boards of trustees.

 Award winners are announced at the May meeting of the Board of Governors. Nominees are evaluated on their commitment to the mission of community colleges, professional ethics and standards, service to the institution through participation in professional and/or community activities, and service as a leader beyond the local institution.

Mary Lange

Older Adult Program Supervisor Mary Lange was selected by the Classified Senate as Mt. SAC’s nominee for the prestigious statewide Community College Classified Employee of the Year Award.

Mary is an outstanding choice, not only because of her involvement and leadership in the older adult educational community, but even more so because of her passion for the program and her students and for her exemplary dedication as a classified employee.
