Bryan Hopkins, CPA, CFP | Hopkins Wealth Management Group | Founder & President
Bryan Hopkins was born and raised in Whittier California. As a southern California native Bryan enjoys the outdoor lifestyle particularly snow skiing, waterskiing and scuba diving Bryan was married to Melessa in 1992 and has two sons Austin who is 25 and Shane who is 23. Bryan begin his professional education at Cypress College and went on to California State University Fullerton where he graduated with a bachelors degree in accounting from the school of business and economics. Bryan begin his career in public accounting in 1989 working in downtown Los Angeles. Shortly thereafter he made the decision to join the ranks of the self employed at the ripe old age of 28 where he started a small certified public accounting firm with his former business partner Ross Bonnie. Ross and Bryan enjoyed growing a boutique firm together from 1993 to 2013, at which time the firm was amiably dissolved. Today Bryan is the sole shareholder of Hopkins Wealth Management Group a five employee tax and financial planning firm that understands the fundamentals; which are a relentless pursuit for the best possible tax and financial solutions and that service is what separates them from their competitors. Bryan is a CPA as well as a Certified Financial Planner.
In an effort to give back to the community Bryan is a member of the finance committee at his church, a mentor in the school of business at cal state Fullerton, an active member of Change for a Cure, which supports the American Cancer Society and is a volunteer ski patroller.

Ronda Shutt | Mt. SAC | Professor
Ronda Shutt graduated from Chaffey Community College in 2000, earning Associate Degrees in both Accounting and General Education, as one of three Valedictorians. While a student at Chaffey, she also served as an Accounting Tutor. Ronda subsequently transferred to California State University San Bernardino and completed my Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. Upon graduation she joined a Ahern, Adcock, & Devlin LLP, a Public Accounting Firm in Riverside, and obtained enough hours and experience to earn her CPA credentials. Ronda tackled her Master’s Degree in Management at the University of Redlands and graduated in 2008.
Ronda recently retired from her position as Vice-President of Payroll Link, Inc (a payroll service bureau in Rancho Cucamonga) where she worked for over 14 years. She also taught accounting courses for several years while working full-time for the payroll company. Ronda wore several hats at the payroll company: Accountant, Controller, Customer Service Manager, Transition Manager, Human Resource Manager, Tax Manager, and ultimately Vice President of Operations. The experiences she encountered in business has allowed her to develop and apply tried and true processes, has given her exposure to a multitude of accounting, payroll and HR questions and concerns, and has allowed her the ability to mentor those entering the fields of accounting and payroll.
Over the years, Ronda's heart was in education, So she returned to her dream job of teaching! Teaching is Ronda's true passion. Knowing that she can help another in any way, brings joy to her heart. Teaching helps her do that. Ronda is an adjunct (part-time) instructor - both at Mt Sac and Chaffey – and she am fully dedicated to serving her students to the best of her ability.

Jeff Plourde is an Audit Partner in the Los Angeles Office of Deloitte & Touche LLP. He has over 30 years of industry and public accounting experience in various industries including Construction, Hospitality, Real Estate, Gaming and Oil and Gas. His expertise includes risk management, SEC reporting, initial public offerings, technical accounting, board development and business advisory services. Jeff has met with and assisted in the facilitation of the Engineering and Construction industry’s presentation on contract accounting for revenue recognition before the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). Tim Mundy has more than 30 years’ of public and private investment management accounting experience, specializing in providing accounting, tax and consulting services to asset management companies. Tim is a National Managing Partner and leads Deloitte’s U.S Firms Private Equity practice which provides assurance and accounting on call services to portfolio companies and the advisors who invest in them. Prior to joining Deloitte in 2001, Tim worked for PFPC Worldwide, Inc, Price Waterhouse LLP and State Street Bank & Trust Co. Against the advice of his loving professors, he chose advertising which was initially a mistake.
