4:00pm And Summer hours are Monday- Thursday 8:00am- 5:30pm, Closed on Fridays
- What is the latest I can schedule a testing appointment for my in-person exam at the
ACCCESS Testing Center?
Reminder to please schedule your exams at least 7 days in advance. You can schedule
your test/ quiz at any time during our open testing hours (refer to question 1). Please
keep in mind that we stop testing at 5:30pm Monday- Thursday, and at 4:00pm on Fridays.
- How do I schedule accommodated testing appointments to take my in-person exams at
the ACCESS Testing Center?
You may do it in-person by visiting us in the Access Testing Center (building 9B-
First floor), over the phone (909) 274-4290, or by email accesstesting@mtsac.edu. Please schedule your exams at least 7 days in advance. It is your responsibility to notify your professor of the date and time you scheduled.
- I’m taking an online course and timed exams are being administered on Canvas but are
not being proctored by my professor. Everyone in the class can take the exam from
the convenience of any location they choose. Do I need to or can I schedule testing
appointments to take online exams for this course in the ACCESS Testing Center?
You can speak to your professor about extending the time in Canvas for you and you
can take the exam at the location of your preference. If you choose to take your exam
at Access Testing Center, please schedule a testing appointment (refer to question
3).
- I have extended time on exams as part of my accommodations. How can I get my extended
time for my exams on Canvas or for my proctored exams on Zoom with my professor?
Please download and email your accommodations list to your professor. Communicate
with your professor and let them know that you would like to use your accommodations
for your test.
- I have a testing appointment scheduled for an upcoming exam, but my professor decided
to push back the day of the exam to give us more time to study. How can I reschedule
it? Do I need to cancel and schedule a new appointment?
If your professor decides to move forward the testing day for the whole class, have
them email us accesstesting@mtsac.edu.
You can call, email, or come into the Access Testing Center to notify us of the changes.
Please let us know the original date and time you are cancelling and the new date
and time you would like to schedule. Remember to communicate the new date and time
to your professor.
- Do my testing accommodations apply only to tests and final exams? Or do they apply
also to quizzes?
Testing accommodations apply to quizzes as well as exams.
- My in-person courses are going to have weekly quizzes or recurring quizzes at every
class meeting. Do I need to schedule a testing appointment for each one individually?
Yes, if you are anticipating weekly recurring quizzes for your class or a quiz at
the start of each class session and you would like to be proctored in the Access Center,
then you will need to schedule an individual testing appointment for each quiz day
that will take place.
- How do I schedule testing appointments for pop quizzes at the ACCESS Center for my
in-person course? I don’t know what days my professor will be giving out the pop quizzes?
Please contact and provide the name of your professor and the name of the class. We
will reach out to the professor to discuss options.
- I recently tested positive for COVID-19, must self-isolate and not come to campus
for the time being, but I have a testing appointment coming up in the Access Testing
Center. What do I do to reschedule my exam, so I can still take it with accommodations?
If you test positive for COVID-19, you will need to notify the college by emailing
contacttracing@mtsac.edu or by phone (909) 274-6900 and complete a Student Health Check https://www.mtsac.edu/covid19/student-health-check.html .In order to return to campus you will need to submit a negative antigen test. Antigen
testing can be done starting on day 5, following a positive COVID test result. Reschedule
your exam date for after you receive your negative tests results, by calling us at
(909) 274-4290 or emailing us at accesstesting@mtsac.edu.
Please notify your professor and keep them updated with your status and new appointment
date and time of your class exam.
