Forensics Wins 13 Awards at State

The Mt. SAC Forensics Team won 13 awards, including one gold medal, five silver, and seven bronze Mar. 8-11 at the 2018 California Community Colleges Forensics Association State Championship tournament in Sacramento. Overall, Mt. SAC placed fourth behind Orange Coast, Moorpark, and Solano College.

Mt. SAC’s Dawson Khoury medaled in all three of his events, including a gold medal in impromptu speaking and silver medals in debate and informative speaking.

Over 300 students from 24 community colleges competed at the state championship.

The team is now poised for the Phi Rho Pi Nationals in Florida this April.
