As you prepare for your pursuit of higher education, you will take on many exciting responsibilities and challenges. Paying for that education doesn’t have to be a challenge.
Mt. SAC offers a variety of financial aid programs funded by the federal and state governments and private sources, including the Mt. SAC Foundation. These programs are available to eligible students to help meet the cost of attending college. Aid programs include grants, work-study, scholarships and loans. All students may be eligible for some form of assistance based on their financial need. Our programs are available to help you with the cost of education, which includes fees, books, supplies, food, housing, transportation and childcare.
The Financial Aid Office is committed to helping students who might not otherwise be able to attend college. Although the primary responsibility for meeting college costs rests with the student and his/her family, our financial aid programs are intended to supplement, not replace, the financial resources of the family. We recognize that many families have limited resources and are unable to meet the cost of a college education. We evaluate the family's financial ability to pay for educational costs in order to distribute limited resources in a fair and equitable manner.
The Financial Aid Office at Mt. SAC helps thousands of students cover college costs each year. We can help you navigate the financial aid process and assist in identifying options to pay for college. We are available Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on the 2nd floor of the Student Services Building, 9B. You can also call us at (909) 274-4450.
No matter what your family's financial circumstances are, options exist to help you finance your education.
