About Us

Collage of dancers

The Mt. San Antonio College Dance Program has received state-wide recognition for our programs, which are committed to developing versatile artists who excel in careers of performing, choreography and teaching.

Our renowned dance faculty fosters a challenging curriculum and provides individualized attention to students' training.  Accolades include 3 Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Awards, 4 Los Angeles Ovation Awards, Grand Prize at the Palm Desert Choreography Festival, and selection at the American College Dance Festival Gala.

Known for the high quality of its productions, the program provides opportunities to perform in two main stage productions and one informal production each year. In addition, there are extensive annual guest master classes and an artist in residence series to provide an inspirational environment for students.  Our state of the art facilities include two large dance studios, one well-equipped Pilates studio and the Sophia B. Clarke Performing Arts Theater.

Mt. SAC dance alumni have transferred to esteemed colleges and universities; worked in film, television and stage; taught at dance programs; traveled the world on international recording artist tours; performed on cruise ships;  and worked in the commercial dance industry in music videos and on television programs such as “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Glee.”
