Building: 26D-3411Madisen Novelo (she/her/hers) is the Coordinator of the Tech Ed Resource Center (TERC) at Mt. San Antonio College, where she also teaches Medical Terminology and Phlebotomy. She is a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) candidate in Leadership and Management at Claremont Graduate University and holds a Master of Science in Health Care Informatics from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Waldorf University. She is passionate about supporting student success by connecting technology and healthcare to real-world learning experiences. Her research focuses on breast cancer survivorship and health and wellness coaching. Outside of work, Madisen enjoys trying new foods, reading books, and spending time with her family.

Building: 26D-3411Cody is a California State University, Fullerton alum who is now an adjunct English professor. He’s been helping students in many capacities for almost 8 years now as he was a tutor, and now a supervisor at the TERC. Even though he is an English major, he hopes to continue expanding his knowledge in the Tech and Health fields. During his free time, he loves spending time with his dog, Penelope, and his son. Like most English professors and majors, during his downtime, he enjoys reading, and some of his favorite genres include science fiction, horror, and fantasy. He enjoys watching horror films, playing video games, and listening/playing music. Cody hopes to continue to exist as a human being in the universe.

Building: 26D-3411Stephanie is an Adjunct Faculty Supervisor at the Tech Ed Resource Center (TERC). She earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona before spending five years working in K–12 education while completing her Speech-Language Pathology post-baccalaureate coursework at Cal State LA. Through her experience in K–12 education, Stephanie discovered a passion for supporting students. She is committed to encouraging students to take advantage of the many resources available to them and to fostering a culture where seeking help is viewed as a strength rather than a stigma. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and Italian Greyhound, Fig. In her free time, she loves walking, reading, traveling, creative hobbies such as watercolor painting, calligraphy, and digital art, and just enjoying life.

Front Desk StaffRose is the tutor for the addiction counseling program here at Mt. SAC. Her major is addiction counseling, but she plans to transfer to CSUF to pursue her Bachelor's in social work with a minor in addiction counseling. She aspires to be a successful drug and alcohol counselor and to broaden her scope in the field of social work. She loves karaoke and playing with animals, and does a mean Shakira impression.

Front Desk StaffSusanna is currently working on completing her prerequisites with the goal of entering a Radiologic Technology/Ultrasound program. She’s drawn to the field because it offers the opportunity to make a positive impact while also supporting a healthy work-life balance. In her free time she enjoys sound baths and anything that helps bring her peace and balance - it;s how she recharges and stays grounded.

Fire Tech/EMT TutorMal graduated Mt. Sac class of 2025 with an AS degree in Fire Technology. She is now a full-time student at Cal State Long Beach, majoring in Health Care Administration with a minor in Emergency Management. Mal’s end goal is to become a Firefighter Paramedic, preferably with the LA County Fire Department; however she believes the best department is the one that hires you first. She is here to help with anything Fire and EMT related, so don't be scared to ask for help - that's what she is here for!

Manufacturing TutorJacob is the tutor for Manufacturing and Welding Math at the Tech Ed Resource Center(TERC). He has been interested in these fields for over 9 years. He started off by holding a flashlight while his cousin worked on his car, and then found himself taking apart his toys to figure out how they worked. After 5 years in high school, he took a drafting class and 3D design, and at the same time volunteered for the school's robotics team. Jacob also loves being able to help people along the way in their academic journey.

Nursing TutorAndrew is a current nursing student at Mt. SAC who is looking to help fellow nursing students with their studies, as it can feel overwhelming. He was a CNA at a skilled nursing facility for about a year and a half before starting RN school. He has 4 dogs (yes, it's chaotic most of the time), LOVES photography (both 35 mm film and digital formats), and also enjoys his fair share of video games. Feel free to ask anything nursing-related; he’s always here to help!

Computer Science (CSCI) TutorAlex tutors CSCI at the Tech Ed Resource Center(TERC). Her goal is to get a bachelor's in Computer Science. She currently has an AS degree in computer programming from Mt SAC, and is transferring to CPP in Fall 2026. Alex has taken most CSCI classes at Mt. Sac, and will do her best to assist you with any questions about them. Some of her hobbies include trying out different automation games and doing various arts and crafts like sculpting, jewelry making, and painting. She loves coffee and cats. She also really loves coding, so she is looking forward to tutoring you.

Electronics/CNET TutorSteven tutors Electronics, Computer Networking, and Basic Programming. He is a Mt. SAC student majoring in Computer and Networking Technology (CNET), Electronics Technology - Levels 1 & 2, and C++ Programming. His goal is to bring robots to life! (10% to completion)

Writing Support Tutor for Tech & Health MajorsMohsina is currently working on her Master’s of English at California State University, Fullerton. She can help tutor you in any writing under the Tech and Health field. She aims towards becoming a Professor of English and Composition in the future. She would love to one day teach at a school on the East Coast.

Aeronautics TutorJustin is one of the Aero tutors at the Tech Ed Resource Center(TERC). He is a Commercial Flight major with his private Pilot License and Instrumental Rating. He completed his PPL in Compton, CA and his Instrument Rating in Hawthorn, CA. Apart from tutoring, he was previously an Ambassador for the aeronautics department. Currently he works for STEMPilot, a flight simulator company that sells simulators and curriculums to elementary, middle, and high schools. His goal is to become a commercial airline pilot for one of the major airlines but more specifically United Airlines. His favorite things to tutor are weather (METAR) and FAR’s.
