The Tech Ed Resource Center (TERC) is committed to supporting student success by employing knowledgeable, professional, and student-focused staff. We hire students for tutoring and front desk positions throughout the academic year based on departmental needs and available funding.

    • Student Assistant III

      Student Assistant III – Front Desk (Federal Work-Study)
      The Student Assistant III position supports TERC's daily operations by welcoming students, assisting with check-in, answering questions, and providing excellent customer service.

      Eligibility Requirements:

      • Must be currently enrolled at Mt. SAC.
      • Must have an active Federal Work-Study award through the Mt. SAC Financial Aid Office.
      • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

    • Student Assistant V & Tutor Expert II

      Student Assistant V & Tutor Expert II
      Student Assistant V and Tutor Expert II employees provide academic support to students enrolled in Technology & Health programs to provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring.

      Tutors help students strengthen course knowledge, build confidence, and develop effective learning strategies.

      Please note: Applications are only being accepted from students who are currently enrolled in a Technology & Health program supported by the Tech Ed Resource Center. View the list of supported programs.

      Minimum Qualifications

      Applicants should:

      • Be currently enrolled at Mt. SAC.
      • Be a Technology & Health major supported by the Tech Ed Resource Center.
      • Demonstrate strong academic performance in the subject area they wish to tutor.
      • Have earned a grade of A or B in the course(s) they are applying to tutor (or demonstrate equivalent preparation).
      • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
      • Be dependable, professional, and committed to helping fellow students succeed.

      • One faculty recommendation from a Technology & Health faculty member who can speak to your academic performance, professionalism, and ability to tutor fellow students
