Student Assistant V & Tutor Expert II
Student Assistant V and Tutor Expert II employees provide academic support to students
enrolled in Technology & Health programs to provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring.
Tutors help students strengthen course knowledge, build confidence, and develop effective
learning strategies.
Please note: Applications are only being accepted from students who are currently enrolled in
a Technology & Health program supported by the Tech Ed Resource Center. View the list of supported programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should:
- Be currently enrolled at Mt. SAC.
- Be a Technology & Health major supported by the Tech Ed Resource Center.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance in the subject area they wish to tutor.
- Have earned a grade of A or B in the course(s) they are applying to tutor (or demonstrate
equivalent preparation).
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Be dependable, professional, and committed to helping fellow students succeed.

- One faculty recommendation from a Technology & Health faculty member who can speak
to your academic performance, professionalism, and ability to tutor fellow students
