Sustainability at Mt. SAC

The three pillars of sustainability are PEOPLE, PLANET, and PROSPERITY.

Earth Day Celebrations and More!

Mounties! This month we take the time to honor and celebrate our beloved planet EARTH! Our campus will be buzzing with educational, fun and community driven experiences that will shine light to the importance of our natural environment and ways in which we can participate in a unifying movement toward the protection and preservation of our one and only planet Earth and all the valuable life that it sustains. April is about community, collaboration and all the hope that they bring for the new season. Hope to see you there!

For Faculty

Community Colleges and Climate Futures Webinar Series

Foundations for California Community Colleges will host their next webinar session on May 7th. This session will cover “Community Colleges as Climate Resilience Hubs”. This session will break new ground for community colleges, touching on themes of partnership, collaboration and emergent work.

“As the world gets ever hotter, storms, fires, heat waves and floods wreak growing havoc nationwide.  How can community colleges, often based in particularly vulnerable communities, help local partners more effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from climate-related disasters?”
