Transfer in Sociology!

Sociology introduces students to the scientific study of human relations and social structures which emphasizes the interaction between personality, culture and society.

To earn an Associate in Arts in Sociology for Transfer, a student must complete 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the CSU system that consist of the IGETC pattern or CSU GE breadth and a major of 18 units more. Students earning an associate degree for transfer will not be required to complete any other local graduation requirements. The ADT in Sociology is designed to assist students in seamlessly transferring to a CSU major in Sociology.
  • Complete 60 CSU transferrable units (18 units in major), all Soc classes are 3 units
  • Have minimum GPA of 2.0 in all CSU-transferable coursework
