I have been attending Mt. SAC for about 2 years now and for the longest time I was goin for a psychology major but during the spring semester of 2012 it all changed. I took one class in R-TV and that was it, I knew I had to join the program.

I got interested in radio slightly back in High School, when I had a teacher tell me I had a good voice, then about 6 years later I was randomly approached on the Metro Link by someone who heard me talking and told me just about the same thing.

Fast forwarding back to now, I started as an intern on at Audio8ball.com and it was all just amazing. I kept working on stories and other ideas then was offered a Producer position, that was the best day so far.

“The world will step aside for a man who knows where he is going," these words I’ve carried with me since I was capable of processing reality.

I’m Christopher Murry, since I can remember I’ve had a dream of being an influencing voice in radio broadcasting. As a youngster I never thought radio would become my first priority. Being an NFL quarterback was my childhood dream, but circumstances compromised that dream before it started.

Too one day sit behind the mic and discuss sports was a secondary thought for the afterlife of football. As I got older and reality set in, radio slowly drove itself to the top of my passions. I’ve always had a knack for sports — it’s been my world.

Since I was five I’ve based my life around the next game. My dad tells me stories of before I could formulate a sentence I would lay in his lap and watch NASCAR, from there a love for sports grew. I’ve always been a numbers guy, studying the newspaper, reviewing statistics, constantly updating my brain with the latest home runs or 100 yard rushing games.

Some people have a love for talking cars and can tell u everything there is to know about an engine, for me all that doesn’t interest me. What I can tell you is who is leading the AL in batting, who led the league in receiving yards in 2004, who won the Cy Young award in 1995, and who I expect to win the NBA championship in the upcoming season.

Mt. San Antonio college has created so many opportunities for future talent in the broadcasting world. As an up and coming voice, I am honored to have the influences and teaching of the RTV program. Ceasing the opportunity thats in front of me, is my daily drive, because “the world will step aside for a man who knows where he is going”

Contact Info:Sid@mtrockradio.com

Where did Sid come from? We don't even know.

He showed up in the MtRock Offices one day, cold and alone. So, we have him some CDs and gave him a home.....working 7 days a week as a over-night and weekend DJ. Sid loves it at the station so much, that he doesn't leave....ever! He has made the 90.1 MtRock Studio his new home and he is here to stay! Sid can hold down on-air duties flawlessly, while keeping groupies out of the control room.

Rest assured, when Sid, The Mt. Rock Baby is on the air, you can count on non-stop Rock!
