As a member of the Faculty Center for Learning Technology (FCLT), my goal is to support faculty in teaching with technology. Our unit offers support via on-campus and online workshops. We also develop guides in several different modalities, as well as support course design projects and needs that are based around technology, and that align with good pedagogical practices. I focus on researching tools and progressive methods that promote efficiency and automation. I also offer training and support for faculty and staff on the use of our campus learning management system (LMS) Canvas.
On a more basic level, I love technology and I love teaching others about technology. Technology is something we should embrace and not fear, and I take great pride in my ability to make everyone comfortable using technology.
