Student Parking Registration Announcement
August 26, 2026 - 04:00 PM

Mt. San Antonio College has a virtual parking permit management system. With a virtual permit system, Mt. SAC will not issue physical parking permits. Instead, students will register their vehicle information and license plate number when purchasing a parking permit. Your license plate number will be assigned as the virtual permit number. This system will make parking on campus easier by eliminating the need for a hangtag permit or sticker.
The campus has installed License Plate Recognition cameras on our parking enforcement vehicles. When a vehicle parks, the license plate is scanned, and the characters of your plate are automatically referenced against the parking database to verify a valid permit and parking privileges for the location. When the license plate is not registered with a valid virtual permit, or the vehicle is parked in an unauthorized location, a parking officer will review the information and determine if enforcement action is necessary.
Student parking permits are not valid in areas designated for staff, day-use pay lots, or metered parking stalls. Valid parking registration is also required for vehicles using any Electric Vehicle (EV) stalls. Vehicles must be connected to the supplied charging station and actively charging to avoid a citation. To ensure availability and turnover, there is a four-hour charge time limit.
Grace Period
There is a two-week grace period at the beginning of the primary semesters (Spring and Fall) and a one-week grace period at the beginning of the intersessions (Summer and Winter) wherein students may park in Student lots without a valid parking permit. Unpermitted parking in Staff lots during this time will be subject to citation. This grace period does not apply to parking in day-use lots, metered stalls, time-specified stalls, reserved stalls, or restricted parking areas.
Fall 2026 Student parking registration is REQUIRED on September 8, 2026.
