Voter Early! - 2025-2026 California Civic and Election Dates

We want to help prepare you to vote early for the 2026 Primary Election by providing important dates, deadlines, and voting information. The first step to being prepared for the election is to register to vote or update your voter registration early. Please review the voter registration options and resources below:

 

• Register to vote or update your voter registration: registertovote.ca.gov/collegestudent

• Check your voter registration status: voterstatus.sos.ca.gov

 

Use the link above if you are unsure whether you are registered to vote or would like to review your voter registration information.

 

• Monday, May 18: The last day to register online to vote for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election.

• Tuesday, May 19 – Tuesday, June 2: Same Day Voter Registration (Conditional Voter Registration) is available.

 

Voters can use the Same Day Voter Registration process during this time.

• Saturday, May 23: Vote centers open for early in-person voting in all Voter’s Choice Act counties.

• Tuesday, June 2: Election Day — Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

○ Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by June 9, 2026.
