Course Overview Chart Descriptions

Flow Chart of Transfer-Level Math Courses

There are two main boxes:  Science, Technology Engineering, and Math (STEM) Majors, and Business, Social Science, and Non-Science Majors. 

For STEM majors, the sequence is Box 1 MATH 150 + MATH 15 Trigonometry with Support or MATH 150 Trigonometry, Box 2 MATH 160 + MATH 16 Precalculus Mathematics with Support or MATH 160 Precalculus Mathematics, Box 3 MATH 180 + MATH 18 Calculus and Analytic Geometry with Support or MATH 180 Calculus and Analytic Geometry, Box 4 MATH 181 Calculus and Analytic Geometry.  After Box 4, there are two paths, Box 5 MATH 260 Linear Algebra and Box 6 MATH 280 Calculus and Analytic Geometry.  After Box 6 is MATH 290 Differential Equations. 

For Business, Social Science, and Non-Science Majors, there are four paths, Box 7 MATH 100 Survey of College Mathematics, Box 8 MATH 110 + MATH 11 Elementary Statistics with Support or MATH 110S Integrated Statistics or MATH 110 Elementary Statistics, Box 9 MATH 120 Finite Mathematics, Box 10 MATH 130 + MATH 13 College Algebra with Support or MATH 130 College Algebra.  After Box 10 is Box 11 MATH 140 + MATH 14 Calculus for Business with Support or MATH 140 Calculus for Business.
