Mars, the Red Planet, is the fourth planet away from the sun. A year on Mars is 687 Earth days. This planet is red because of the rusty iron soil. Mars is a very cold, desert landscape with volcanoes and sweeping canyons. This is also the only planet we been able to send rovers to explore.
