"The Core" Course Sequence

These are the suggested sequence of courses for students pursuing one of the many visual arts fields:

  • First Semester
    • ARTD 15A - Beginning Drawing
    • ARTD 20 - Two Dimensional Design
    • AHIS 4 - History of Western Art: Prehistoric through Gothic
  • Second Semester
    • ARTD 17A - Life Drawing
    • ARTS 22 - Three Dimensional Design
    • ARTD 21 - Design: Color and Composition (offered in Spring only)
    • AHIS 5 - History of Western Art: Renaissance through Modern
  • Third Semester
    • ARTD 25 - Beginning Painting
