This program is designed to prepare the student for employment in the field of Consumer Affairs. A variety of opportunities are available in credit counseling, financial counseling, consumer protection, financial coordinating, and patient financial counseling.  Students desiring a bachelor’s degree can earn this A.S. Degree in their major prior to transfer to a CSU Consumer Affairs program. The coursework also fulfills the educational requirements to sit for the AFC® certification exam that leads to the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) certification offered by the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education.
