The CalWORKs program provides educational/training assistance to student-parents who
are receiving TANF. The program assists students in entering the workforce at the
highest level possible, leading to increased self-sufficiency and individual growth.
Support services include academic counseling, case management, childcare, and work-study.
Attention: While the campus offices are now closed to in-person meetings due the Governor's SAFER-AT-HOME edict, the CalWORKs staff is still available during the COVID-19 crisis. To avoid any interruptions with your supportive services and academic progress and to speak with the CalWORKs dept., please call the CalWORKs Temporary Hotline (909) 294-6796 to schedule phone appointments with a CalWORKs Counselor and/or Program Specialist. You can also contact your assigned program specialist directly by calling the temporary google number shared below, as the CalWORKs team is not physically working on campus until further notice.

The Mt. SAC CalWORKs Program can help you with the following:
- Prepare and assist with transferring requirements to a university
- Enroll in Basic Skills Classes
- Enroll in short term and long term training programs
- Participate in the CalWORKs Work Study program (limited)
- Completion of county paperwork
- Completion of childcare paperwork
- Assistance with books, supplies and fees
At Mt. San Antonio College, we strive to help our
CalWORKs students obtain lifelong learning through education & help them gain access
to the workforce by providing high-quality support services.
CalWORKs Work Study Program provides part time jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses.
