Originally, I moved to America from South Korea 15 years ago with the idea that I would train to be a dentist. While progressing through my associate degree in natural sciences, I was introduced to Caduceus where I unlocked a passion for patient care and education. It was through those experiences where I decided my path toward medicine which has taken me to various honors, clubs, a bachelors in biochemistry from UC Riverside; and here in the Caribbean where I am currently realizing my dream of becoming an MD at Ross University. Motivation for the future follows passion, and this place is where I found the drive and support, which enabled me to chase my dream.

It is okay to fail and face a dead end. I have failed through my journey to medical school. Don’t let this discourage you. Your resilience and passion will speak louder than one time failure and will get you to the goal one way or another. Everyone’s journey is different. Pick yourself up from it, do not compare to other people and keep working towards your goal.
