Arise Program

Arise is a community of students from diverse cultures coming together to lift one another up and rise above challenges to reach their fullest potential.  As an Asian Pacific Islander Desi-American (APIDA) student support service, we have a dedicated support team to empower Arise students to achieve success academically as well as personally.

Arise Virtual Front Desk

Our Virtual Front Desk is a Zoom space for students to access and ask questions, set a counseling appointment, meet with a Financial Aid Specialist, etc.

Hours of Operation - M/T: 8am-12pm & W/Th: 12pm-4pm

Knowledge is Power
Learning Community (KPLC)
The Knowledge is Power Learning Communities (KPLC) is a collaboration between the Umoja Aspire, Arise, and El Centro programs and the Humanities and Social Sciences Division to provide an in-depth look at the histories and societal impacts of Black/African American, Asian Americans, Native Hawai'ian & Pacific Islanders, and Latinx/Chicanx peoples.

By participating in the Arise KPLC, we hope  you will feel a little more "at home" because you will be taking courses with a group of students who share similar culture and experiences with you.  Through the exploration of history, and culture in America, we believe you will feel a stronger sense of pride and community as you complete your life goals at Mt. SAC.
