Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Program
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Program: ABI students are students who have an acquired brain injury and that undergo a semester (or more) of cognitive rehabilitation instruction administered by licensed Speech and Language Pathologists with that goal of reintegrating into the college to complete a degree/vocational program or pursue employment.
The ABI Program is now OPEN for Fall Semester 2025. Our hours are:
Mondays-Thursdays 9-12, 1-3 PM

Accomplishments
Danielle C
Danielle had her TBI in 2000 and wsa ejected from a car. She attended rehab at Casa Colina and returned to school. In 2024 Danielle earned her A.S. in Educational Professional and A.A. in Liberal Arts. Danielle said, "I knew deep inside I could do this and so I trusted the processes, kept faith and I truely believed in myself!"
Franky J
In 2022 Franky suffered an ischemic stroke with left him with right sided weakness and aphasia. He said, "I've been supported by may family, friends, and a team of dedicated physcial, occupational, and speech therapists." He completed his first 5K walk in 2025 and earned his Associate's degree in accounting. He is now working on his CPA licence and Master's Degree! "The experience of lviing with a brain injury is frightening, but with the help of a caring and compassionate individuals, it becomes more managable."
