After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology, Laurie moved to New York City, where she worked as an advertising photographer for six years. She then relocated to Orange County, CA where, for the next twenty years, she operated a successful commercial photography studio specializing in food and beverage imagery for advertising, corporate and editorial clients including CKE Restaurants (Carl’s Jr, Green Burrito, Hardees, La Salsa), Taco Bell, Marie Callender’s Restaurants, BJ’s Restaurants, Bon Appetite Magazine, California Avocado Association, Con Agra Foods, and Yankee Publishing.
Her teaching experience includes California State University/Fullerton, Santa Monica College, and Cypress College. Laurie joined Mt. SAC as a full-time professor in 2007. |
