Veterinary Program Ranked 34th in the Nation

Ranked among veterinary technician programs at colleges such as Purdue and State University of New York, Mt. SAC offers students the opportunity to earn an associate of science degree in registered veterinary technology. The rigorous curriculum integrates lectures with hands-on labs in a 26,000-square-foot facility with an animal hospital and a 150-acre working farm. Students are given the opportunity to work with a wide variety of domestic animals and livestock.

The program is one of the college’s most popular programs with between 500 and 600 students expressing an interest each year. Graduates from the vet tech program experience an 88 percent success rate when taking the licensing exam. One hundred percent of students who complete the program find employment in their field of study. is an online resource that ranks college and university programs based on a number of factors, including academic quality, success rates, and affordability.
