To promote a healthier campus environment, students, employees, and visitors who smoke are required to do so at one of nearly 20 designated outdoor locations. This restricted smoking policy goes into effect at the beginning of the 2013 spring semester. The smoking areas are identified on campus maps (both printed and online) as well as map signage/directories posted across campus.
Smoking zones are designated by visible signage and ash trays. Violators will be cited and subjected to fines effective March 11, 2013.
