Speech Language Pathology

ACCESS students may schedule appointments to meet with a Speech-Language Pathologist to address speech, language, cognition, and executive functioning, as it relates to credit classes. Students can explore strategies for non-verbal communication, communication effectiveness, mnemonics (memory strategies), study strategies, time management skills, and classroom behaviors/strategies.

Students interested in the Acquired Brain Injury Program (ABIP) please make an appointment for an intake and either call ACCESS at 909-274-4290 or email directly at hponce@mtsac.edu. Please visit our ABI website for more details.

We have a program for autistic students in ACCESS, NUANCE (formerly Puzzle Project), please email hponce@mtsac.edu or ehernandez@mtsac.edu for more information or an intake appointment. The program has Friday workshops in the Fall and Spring semesters each year.

Students can also visit the Accessible Technology Center (ATC) for homework support and assistive technology. Speech-Language Pathologists are instructors Monday-Thursday 9-3 PM.
