The first Title V grant started in 2000 at Mt. SAC. As a college, we are required to
apply annually to maintain that designation, as it is a combination of not just Hispanic student enrollment of
at least 25% but also a student requirement of at least 50% low-income.
while the College’s first Title V grant started in 2000, we had previously held at
least one Title III grant. While Title III grants are not specific to HSIs, they do have the same low-income student
requirement.
