Selene Roman, M.A.

Selene Roman is an Adjunct EOPS/CARE Counselor at Mount San Antonio College. She joined the Mount San Antonio College family in 2018. Selene has served as a Counselor/Instructor in different capacities since 2015 spanning from Santa Ana College, Saddleback College, Pasadena City College, East Los Angeles College and Mount San Antonio College. Her students inspire her every day and she becomes whatever her students need her to become, i.e. an advisor, an ally, an advocate. She values diversity and promotes an interactive educational opportunity.

Selene is a first-generation college student, born of low-income immigrant parents, and raised in the heart of Los Angeles. She attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where she was inspired by her EOP Advisor to complete college and pursue her master’s degree. It is her goal to support students in achieving their goals and realizing their potentials.

“It is incredibly important to get connected and realize that you share a similar experience to more people thank you think. Don’t give up. If at any time you have doubts about your abilities as a student or as an individual, I am happy to meet you and be the support you need to help you realize you deserve to be here and you have what it takes to be amazing.”
