Kelly Conte has been an art instructor with the Education for Older Adults Program (EOA) for the past eighteen years and has taught several different art mediums at local community senior centers throughout the region. Including, but not limited to, the City of Walnut, the City of La Verne, the City of San Dimas, the City of West Covina, and the City of Covina. Additionally, she has taught at the Masonic Homes of Covina, Hillcrest Homes, Bridgecreek Retirement Living, and with Convalescent and Assisted Living Centers. Kelly specializes in ceramics, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and decorative tole painting
For the last two years, she has taught additional art classes with Mt. San Antonio's School of Continuing Education Adults with Disabilities Department where she teaches students with traumatic brain injuries and Alzheimer’s.
Sixteen years ago, Kelly founded the Intergenerational Student Art Exhibition and Artist's Reception for Mt. SAC in partnership with the City of Walnut. The exhibition allows students and community member participants to display and sell their work—allowing artists throughout the community to take pride in their artistic creations. In the last three years, the exhibition has expanded greatly to allow for more students and more members of the community to participate in this exciting show of talent.
