John Pellitteri

John Pellitteri, Psy.D. ABPP is a licensed and board-certified clinical psychologist. He has master's degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Psychopharmacology, and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He has a post-doctorate certificate of specialization in Neuropsychology. He is currently the National Examination Coordinator and Western Regional Director of the American Board of Clinical Psychology, a member board of the American Board of Professional Psychology and recognized specialty of the American Psychological Association. 

 

Dr. Pellitteri is board-certified in Neurofeedback, a Nationally-Certified Counselor through the NBCC, and certified Learning Disability specialist. He is a nationally registered Health Service Provider in Psychology.

 

He has worked in a variety of clinical settings such as Hillsides Home for Children, Kaiser Hospital Rehabilitation Center (Brain Injury Team), and Los Angeles Police Department, Behavioral Sciences Section. He has been in private practice offering psychotherapy, neuropsychological assessment and neurofeedback for over 20 years.

 

He joined Mt. SAC in 1994 as a part-time Professor of Counseling in the ESL Department, and was the first full-time tenured faculty in the Continuing Education Division in 1999; he taught part-time in the Psychology Department as well as in the University of La Verne Psy.D. in Community/Clinical program. In 2018 he transferred to the Psychology Department full-time and currently teaches Biological Psychology and Psychology of Reasoning, among other classes.
