Cathy Stute

Cathy came to Mt. SAC in 1997 as an accounting technician for the Auxiliary Services department.  She transitioned to Public Safety, Fiscal Services and teaching non-credit classes before joining the Research Department in early 2007 to work on five projects funded by Mt. SAC’s first Basic Skills grant.  The same year she started as an adjunct faculty for the college, teaching yoga. She juggled these responsibilities, while at the same time attending graduate school at UC Davis in northern California.  She left Research and teaching in August 2008 to complete her degree program in northern California.

Cathy returned to Research at Mt. SAC in 2016 after living and working in Napa Valley for four years.  While in Napa, she supported community efforts working for the Napa County Health and Human Services division. She was an experienced governmental fiscal analyst as well as an agent for change management.

Upon her return, she participated in collaborative efforts to construct the 2017 Accreditation package.  Since then, she supported student equity through research efforts for the Dream Center and the Pride Center and provided research analyses for several Basic Skills projects.  She assisted CTE programs with Code Alignment and provided faculty with ad hoc data requests to support their programs.  In 2018 Cathy joined the Strategic Enrollment Management team, providing enrollment data and specialized reporting to inform scheduling decisions and funding projections.  For the 2019-20 year, Cathy will support several grants: Perkins V grant, ACUE, and two Online Educational Initiatives, with their data needs.
