Cathy Stute

Cathy has worked in a variety of capacities since joining Mt. SAC, first as an accounting technician for the Auxiliary Services department.  She transitioned to Public Safety, Fiscal Services and teaching non-credit classes before joining the Research Department in early 2007 to work the college’s first Basic Skills grant.  The same year she began as adjunct faculty teaching yoga. She juggled these responsibilities, while at the same time attending graduate school at UC Davis in northern California.  She left Research and teaching in August 2008 to complete her degree program in northern California.

Cathy returned to Research at Mt. SAC in 2016 after living and working in Napa Valley for four years.  In Napa, she supported community efforts in food and housing insecurity and mental health while working for the Napa County Health and Human Services division. She was an experienced governmental fiscal analyst as well as an agent for change management.

Since rejoining RIE, Cathy has provided research support for SEAP funded projects such as the Dream Center and Pride Center.  She joined the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) team, providing enrollment data and specialized reporting to inform scheduling decisions and funding projections.  She provided mixed method analyses for Online Educational Initiatives.  She collaborated on the Perkins V transition.

Cathy currently supports the Mt. SAC Title V grant through focused analyses of the grant’s five projects and nine objectives.  She is also a member of the Data Coaching team.  In addition to the grant work Cathy continues working with SEM, supports the College’s Basic Needs team and fulfills external data requests.
