Students of Distinction Nominations 2025 - Now Being Accepted

Students of DistinctionNeed a perfect way to recognize an exceptional student?  
Nominate them for Students of Distinction!

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, select students and educators will be honored at the annual Students & Educators of Distinction Awards Ceremony/Luncheon 
sponsored by the Associated Students.

Students being honored will receive the following on behalf of the Associated Students:

  • $2,000 scholarship
  • Plaque
  • Lapel pin

You may only nominate a student in one of the four categories outlined in the attached document.  If the student is eligible, you may be asked to write a letter of recommendation on their behalf.

NOMINATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Sign into the Portal 
2. Click “Main Menu” (upper left corner next to Mt. SAC logo) & then choose “Discover”
3. Enter “Students of Distinction” in the “Find cards” search box” & click Enter
4. Click “Submit a Nomination” 
5. Enter Student ID# & category for each student you wish to nominate & click Submit. 
6. You should receive a confirmation e-mail. Please retain this for your records.

Nominations will be accepted through the Employee Portal until January 31, 2025.
